Ministry Background
Faith expressed through teaching, music, and service.
Dr. Charles Woolfork Sr. is a preacher, Gospel music artist, writer, producer, teacher, pastor, and community-focused leader with more than 30 years of experience in music and preaching ministry.
He founded Ascension Life Church and Ascension Ministries and envisioned The Ascension Life Podcast as a ministry vehicle for purposeful, vibrant, and insightful conversations. His desire is to help people return to a living love for God and encounter practical lessons that can be faithfully lived—not merely heard.
The Vision
To exalt Christ and transform lives.
Ascension Life Church exists to exalt Jesus Christ, equip believers through the teaching of God’s Word, strengthen families, develop servant leaders, and demonstrate the love of Christ through ministry that transforms lives and communities.
The vision reaches beyond Sunday worship: equipping believers to live faithfully every day, serving communities, and reflecting the character of Christ wherever God places them.
Teaching & Conversation
Practical faith for everyday life.
Word of the Week with Dr. Charles Woolfork is a weekly, approximately 30-minute online teaching series, with scripture, 3 Points to Grow On, and a Weekly Challenge.
Ascension Life Church is launching in 2027. In the meantime, revisit selected recovered recordings from the first season of The Ascension Life Podcast.
